Build Your Email List the Easy Way

Email marketing can achieve some impossibly-great ROI, but before you can get there, it’s important to have subscribers!

Of course, we all know that tactics like list buying and tricking users into signing-up don’t drive real results.

The better way to get high quality email list subscribers is to answer the question that every potential customer has of any product or service, “What’s in it for me?”, with something simple: sign-up, and you can win a prize.

Whether or not to sign-up for an email list is a decision that a user most-likely makes in a few seconds, so instead of making a list of 50 bullet points of what makes your email list great, why not keep it simple: “Sign-up for our list, and you’ll be entered to win!”

Not sure what to give away? Here’re a few easy ideas:

  • E-commerce retailer? Give away a $50 or $100 gift card once a month
  • Services company? Give away a voucher for free use of our services
  • Blogger? Partner with an advertiser to give away one of their products

Ensure that your giveaways are consistent, (i.e. weekly or monthly,) and make sure not to miss them!

Additionally, get permission from winners to promote their wins through your social channels, and consider asking them to take selfies with their prizes, (if applicable,) as this gives another opportunity to promote your list and draw additional sign-ups.
