How to Use Autosend To Text Users


  There are plenty of interesting ways you can use SMS messages to stay in contact with your users. Especially since 95% of all text messages are opened within 5 minutes. Here are just a few ways to get the ideas flowing.

How to Text Users That Have a Problem During Checkout

About 20% of all transactions are failed transactions. Don’t lose a potential customer just because you didn’t follow up.
  1. Crete an event that will tell Autosend a payment failed. It could be a landing page event that you add to a “payment failure” page or you can make an event through API that recognizes when someone get a checkout problem.
  2. Create a rule like this: If a user checkoutProblem, send an SMS 2 minutes later. Note: Your event name may be different. Go to learn mode or the API to see what name you gave your event.
  3. Write a message like this: “Hey {{Customer Name}}, I noticed you had a problem checking out, I can walk you through the process via live chat or call you to help you finish. Just let me know.”
  4. Press “Save Rule” and you’re done.

How to Remind Users to Update Their Expiring Credit Card by Text

  1. Crete an event for users with expiring credit cards.
  2. Create a rule like this: If a user nearExpiration, send an SMS 1 day later. Note: Your event name may be different. Go to learn mode or the API to see what name you gave your event.
  3. Write a message like this: “Hey {{Customer Name}}? I noticed your credit card will expired in {{data ExpirationDate}} days! Here’s how to update your card so your service won’t get interrupted.”
  4. Press “Save Rule” and you’re done.
 

How to Text Users To Thank Them After Becoming A New User

  1. Crete an event for a new user. You can either use a landing page event (you can usual Visual Mode) once they hit a welcome page or use the API to tell us what makes a new user.
  2. Create a rule like this: If a user joined, send an SMS 10 minutes later. Note: Your event name may be different. Go to learn mode or the API to see what name you gave your event.
  3. Write a message like this: “Hey {{Customer Name}}, I just wanted to reach out and say thanks for joining. I can’t wait to see the cool things you do with our service! – Ashli”
  4. Press “Save Rule” and you’re done.
